Wholesale cardamomon essential oil, which is extracted from Elettara cardamomum, a perennial, reed-like herb up to 4 m. tall that yields reddish-brown seeds. It is native to tropical areas in Asia; today it is widely cultivated in Guatemala, India and Sri Lanka. The oil is obtained by steam distillation of the seeds and has a sweet, spicy fragrance with a woody balsamic undertone.

It has a calming and fortifying emotional effect on mental functioning, reducing drowsiness and improving concentration. It is recognized as having anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, analgesic, anti-infectious, expectorant and even aphrodisiac properties.
