The essential oils for hair that we present below will be great to give you the pampering your hair needs.

Argan oil

Argan oil, also known as Moroccan oil, is extracted from the nuts of the argan tree found in Morocco and will do wonders for your hair. Argan oil is packed with beneficial ingredients such as vitamin E, ferulic acid and fatty acids, as well as antioxidants, which fight UV rays and hair cell damage. Just a few drops of argan oil will not only protect your hair from heat, but nourish and moisturize, reducing dryness and frizz. No wonder they call this oil “liquid gold”. Argan oil is not as greasy as coconut oil, making it perfect for more frequent use. VOS argan oil is first cold pressed so it retains many of the fatty acids that bring great benefits to your hair.

How to use argan oil

Apply a few drops in the palm of your hand, rub your hands together and distribute evenly on damp or dry hair, avoiding the roots. Apply daily for best results.

Jojoba oil

This oil is extracted from the jojoba plant and is wonderful because its chemical structure resembles the oil our scalp naturally produces (sebum). This means that your scalp will most likely accept it easily without showing any side effects. Jojoba oil deeply moisturizes the hair, hydrating and treating the hair follicles from the inside. It also treats dandruff and dry scalp problems, as well as providing shine and softness. VOS jojoba oil comes in a convenient glass bottle containing 225ml and a dosing pump for easy application.

How to use jojoba oil

You can use jojoba oil as a leave-in treatment. Apply to the scalp before shampooing and leave on for 30 minutes or even overnight. For a pleasant scent, you can add a drop of your favorite essential oil (such as lavender or eucalyptus).

Alternatively, you can add a few drops of jojoba oil to your conditioner or simply apply a little to the ends afterwards. In addition to these plant oils we have essential oils that are packed with beneficial properties.

Lavender essential oil

Lavender oil can accelerate hair growth. Knowing that lavender oil has properties that can generate cell growth and reduce stress, researchers in an animal study found that this oil could generate faster hair growth in mice.

It also has antimicrobial and antibacterial properties, which can improve scalp health.

Mix several drops of lavender oil in 3 tablespoons of jojoba oil and apply it directly to the scalp. Leave it on for at least 10 minutes before washing and shampooing as you normally would. You can do this several times a week.

Peppermint essential oil

Peppermint oil can cause a cool, tingling sensation when it increases circulation to the area where it is applied. This can help promote hair growth during the anagen (or growth) phase.

Mix 2 drops of peppermint essential oil with jojoba or argan and massage it into the scalp and leave it on for 5 minutes before washing thoroughly with shampoo and conditioner.

Rosemary essential oil

Rosemary is one of the best essential oils for hair. If you want to improve both hair thickness and hair growth, rosemary oil is an excellent choice thanks to its ability to improve cell generation.

Mix several drops of rosemary oil with jojoba oil and apply it to the scalp. Leave it on for at least 10 minutes before shampooing. Do this twice a week for best results.

Thyme essential oil

Thyme is one of the best essential oils for hair, it can help promote hair growth by stimulating the scalp and actively preventing hair loss. Thyme oil was found to be useful in treating alopecia. Put 2 drops in two tablespoons of jojoba oil and apply to the scalp, massage, leave for 10 minutes and rinse. Thyme is a potent oil so we recommend that you put a low dose and test first for a short period of time.
